7 NUMERI ROMANI Roman numerals are often use to refer to centuries. Century = secolo ES: XIV Secolo = 14 th Century (quatordicesmio secolo) ALSO: in italian it is common to use this system: ‘500 = 1500s = 14esimo secolo ‘600 = 1600s = 15esimo secolo ‘800 = 1800s = 17esimo secolo
