Are you familiar with that store? Non conosco il commesso. I dont know the salesman. Conosciamo Roma. Were familiar with Rome. Vuoi conoscere Sabatino? Do you want to meet Sabatino?

Ho conosciuto Enrico due anni fa. I met Enrico two years ago. Non hai ancora conosciuto Luisa? You havent met Luisa yet?

Papà conosce la strada per Ponte Vecchio. Dad knows the way to Ponte Vecchio. Conosco il gioco a fondo. I know the game inside and out.

Sabato scorso hanno saputo che lui ha chiuso il negozio. Last Saturday they found out that he closed the store. Ho saputo che la sciarpa gialla è in saldo. I found out that the yellow scarf is on sale.

Compare the following examples. Conosci Roberta? Do you know Roberta? Sai dove abita Roberta? Do you know where Roberta lives? Ieri avete conosciuto Vincenzo. Yesterday you met Vincenzo. Avete saputo che è sposato. You found out that he is married.
