When do we use subject pronouns? Subject pronouns stand in for the subject. I, You, He/She, We, They. I went to the shops. You bought some shoes. He did really well in his Italian test. She plays soccer. We are learning Italian. They are going to Italy.

I Verbi -are -ere
The present indicative Translates to the English present tense: John eats a sandwich for lunch today. I do my homework at lunchtime You watch television when you get home. Translates to the English ‘-ing’ form: Robert is watching television. I am listening to the teacher They are dancing to the music.
Use the indicative when: You are describing an action that is taking place in the present.
When you look up a verb (doing word) in the dictionary, you will find the infinitive version of the verb. You need to conjugate this verb to personalise it to the person completing the action.
Steps to follow when conjugating a verb. 1. Find the infinitive of a verb (dictionary) 2. Take off the ending (-are, -ere, -ire) 3. Left with the stem 4. Place the stem next to the subject pronoun 5. Add an ending (that matches the subject pronoun)
