The first in the western side (ridge appenninica umbro-marchigiana), the second in the eastern side (ridge marchigiana). Both mountain lines directions are from north, north-west to south south-east. The rivers morphology is orthogonal to the mountains and the solid transport comes from the mountain. The ridges are made of by carbonatic rock and, from the mineralogical point ofview, the stream solid transport is made of carbonate and quartz grains.
