2 Cosa sono? An indirect object designates the person TO WHOM an action is directed. Ex – Scrivo una lettera. Scrivo una lettera a Lucia.

3 Pronomi Indiretti These are used with verbs of giving: Dare Prestare
Offrire Mandare Restituire Regalare Portare Etc

4 Pronomi Diretti They are also used with verbs of oral and written communication. Parlare Dire Domandare Chiedere Rispondere Telefonare Scrivere Insegnare Spiegare Consigliare Etc

7 Passato Prossimo In the past, there is NO agreement with indirect object pronouns. Le ho parlato ieri. Non gli abbiamo telefonato.

8 Pronomi Indiretti Unlike in English, telefonare and rispondere take an indirect object pronoun. Le telefono stasera. Non gli ho risposto.
