1 Perdonare è molto difficile, non sempre si riesce a vincere l’orgoglio ferito, com’è possibile perdonare? Con le sole nostre forte non ci riusciremo ma con l’aiuto di Dio è possibile: infatti “ …senza di me non potete fare nulla!” “Io sono la vite e voi i tralci. Chi rimane in me e io in lui, fa molto frutto…(Gv 15,5) Per questo Gesù non ci ha lasciato soli ma ci garantisce la sua presenza attraverso i sacramenti. 3 “Perché confessarsi? Non credo di avere peccati da confessare…” (Il senso del peccato è direttamente proporzionale al nostro rapporto con Dio) “Perché confessarsi da un uomo come me? Non potrei confessarmi direttamente con Dio?”. Il peccato è la malattia dell’anima che solo Gesù può guarire quando ci affidiamo a Lui, con umiltà e sincerità d’animo. L’Umanità, purtroppo, è soggetta al peccato ma può sempre contare sulla Misericordia di Dio. Abbiamo tutti bisogno del perdono di Dio e della sua Misericordia. I do not believe I have any sin to confess!” Sin is a disease of the soul which only Jesus can heal, when we entrust ourselves to Him with humility and sincerity of heart. Unfortunately humanity is subject to sin, but we can always count on the Mercy of God. We are all in need of God’s pardon and of His Mercy.

E’ Cristo, infatti, che ha comandato agli apostoli (sacerdoti): “Ciò che scioglierete sulla terra sarà sciolto anche in Cielo” ed è sempre Gesù che ha affidato a Pietro le “chiavi della Chiesa di Dio”. 7 Se, aldilà dei propositi, la mia debolezza cede, io devo sempre trovare la forza di rialzarmi dalla caduta. La vittoria del Maligno si realizza quando io cedo, mi lascio andare al peccato e non ho più la forza di rialzarmi. If, in spite of my resolve, my weakness causes me to fall again I must always find the strength to get up. The victory of the Evil One is realized when I yield to sin and I have no more the strength and the will to start again.

8 Solo l’autentico senso del peccato genera in noi il dolore perfetto, quello cioè di aver rifiutato l’Amore di Dio per il nostro vero bene. “Mio Dio, mi pento e mi dolgo con tutto il cuore dei miei peccati, perché peccando ho meritato i tuoi castighi e molto più perché ho offeso Te infinitamente buono e degno di essere amato sopra ogni cosa”. Se non c’è pentimento autentico, l’assoluzione non ha valore. Dopo un’autentica confessione si prova tanta gioia per essersi liberati da gravosi fardelli. La Grazia è sempre vera gioia! Per una buona confessione occorre un sincero esame di coscienza, un vero atto di pentimento, la coscienza di aver rifiutato l’amore di Dio e l’impegno serio a cambiar vita.
