2 Cristo è Re d’Amore, Re di Misericordia, Re di Giustizia, Re di vera Gioia, Re di Beatitudini, Re di Pace, d’Armonia, d’Obbedienza al Padre, Re di Spiritualità, Re Vincitore del Male. Tutti noi dobbiamo guardare al nostro RE per onorarlo, Amarlo, ascoltarlo, servirlo, ringraziarlo, imitarlo e lodarlo! Cristo è la Speranza che diventa certezza! (G.L.) Christ is the King of Love, of Mercy, of Justice, of True Joy, as well as King of Beatitude, of Peace, of Harmony, of Obbedience to the Father, of Spirituality and King over Evil. All of us have to look to our King to honor Him, love, listen, serve, give Him thanks, imitate and give Him praise! Christ is the Hope that becomes Certainty (G.L.)! 3 Io guardavo nelle visioni notturne: ecco sulle nubi del cielo venire uno simile a un Figlio d'uomo; arrivò fino all'Antico di giorni e fu fatto avvicinare davanti a lui. (Dn 7, 13) I continued watching the nocturnal vision: One like a son of man came on the clouds of heaven. He faced the One of Great Age and was brought into his presence. (Dn 7, 13)

4 A lui fu concesso potere, forza e dominio e tutti i popoli, le nazioni e le lingue lo servirono. Il suo potere è un potere eterno che non finirà e il suo dominio è un dominio eterno che non sarà distrutto. (Dn 7, 14) Dominion, honor and kingship were given him, and all the peoples and nations of every language served him. His dominion is eternal and shall never pass away; his kingdom will never be destroyed. (Dn 7, 14)

5 Gesù Cristo, colui che è il Testimone fedele, il Primo- nato fra i morti, il Principe dei re della terra. A lui che ci ama e ci ha prosciolti dai nostri peccati nel suo sangue e ha formato di noi un regno di sacerdoti per il suo Dio e Padre, a lui gloria e impero nei secoli dei secoli. Amen! (Ap 1, 5-6) and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has washed away our sins with his own blood, making us a kingdom and priests for God his Father, to him be the glory and power for ever and ever. Amen. (Rev 1, 5-6)

6 Ecco: viene tra le nubi; tutti gli uomini lo contempleranno, anche quelli che l'hanno trafitto; e si batteranno per lui il petto tutte le tribù della terra. Sì, amen! Io sono l'Alfa e l'Omega, dice il Signore Dio, Colui che è, che era, che viene, l'Onnipotente. (Ap 1, 7-8) See he comes with the clouds and everyone will see him, even those who pierced him; on his account all the nations of the earth will beat his breast. Yes. It will be so. "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, he who is, who was and who is to come: the Master of the universe.(Rev 1, 7-8)

7 Allora Pilato entrò di nuovo nel pretorio, chiamò Gesù e gli disse: «Tu sei il re dei Giudei?». Gesù rispose: «Dici questo da te stesso o altri te l'hanno detto di me?». Rispose Pilato: «Sono io forse un giudeo? La tua nazione e i sacerdoti-capi ti hanno consegnato a me. Che cosa hai fatto?». (Gv 18, 33-35) Pilate then entered the court again, called Jesus and asked him, "Are you the King of the Jews?" Jesus replied, "Does this word come from you, or did you hear it from others?" Pilate answered, "Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have handed you over to me. What have you done?" (In 18, 33-35)

8 Rispose Gesù: «Il mio regno non è di questo mondo. Se di questo mondo fosse il mio regno, le mie guardie avrebbero combattuto perché non fossi consegnato ai Giudei. Ora, il mio regno non è di qui». (Gv 18, 36) Jesus answered, "My kingship does not come from this world. If I were king like those of this world, my guards would have fought to save me from being handed over to the Jews. But my kingship is not from here." (In 18, 36)

9 Gli disse allora Pilato: «Dunque sei tu re?». Rispose Gesù: «Tu dici che io sono re. Io sono nato per questo e per questo sono venuto al mondo: per rendere testimonianza alla verità. Chiunque è dalla verità, ascolta la mia voce». (Gv 18, 37) Pilate asked him, "So you are a king?" And Jesus answered, "Just as you say, I am a king. For this I was born and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is on the side of truth hears my voice." (In 18, 37)
