1 INCONTRO AL SIGNORE Per accogliere il Signore nel nostro cuore, dobbiamo prepararci attraverso una seria conversione. Ciò che ci allontana da Dio sono i nostri peccati, atti contro la sua volontà. Per questo dobbiamo abbattere i colli dell'orgoglio e colmare le valli dello scoraggiamento. Sapremo così accogliere Dio con immensa gioia e non con l'ipocrisia di un Natale fatto d'emozioni, nostalgie e tanto consumismo. A Natale Dio si fa presente a tutti, anche a molti uomini assenti spiritualmente, per donarci il giusto senso della vita. G.L. HEADING TOWARD THE LORD To best meet the Lord in our hearts, we have to prepare ourselves through a serious conversion. Our sins, our acts against God's will are what keeps us away from Him. For this reason, we have to tear down the hills of pride and fill the valleys of discouragements. This is how we will be able to welcome God with immense joy and not with the hypocrisy of a Christmas filled with lots of sensations, nostalgia and so much consumerism. At Christmas, God manifests Himself to each one of us, even to many who are spiritually absent, to give us the right sense of life. G.L. 10 Le valli siano riempite, le montagne e le colline siano abbassate; le vie tortuose siano raddrizzate, i luoghi impervi appianati. Ogni uomo vedrà la salvezza di Dio. (Lc 3, 5-6) The valleys will be filled and the mountains and hills made low. Everything crooked will be made straight and the rough paths smooth; and every mortal will see the salvation of God.(Lk 3, 5-6)
