16 Tracking con Straw Tubes
• 3 pairs of tracking stations, 4 double layers of straw tubes each • 2 design options for station 6 • Very high particle fluxes in stations 1&2 • Various prototypes completed and 3 modules in 2014 • Readout: on track • TDR expected end of 2014 The FTS is based on the same straw tube detectors of the type proposed for the Central Tracker. 24 Sommario FAIR è entrata a pieno titolo nella fase di costruzione.
PANDA Italia si appresta ad iniziare la fase di costruzione del tracker con Straw Tube, del rivelatore di vertice e il bersaglio primario ipernucleare. Il piano finanziario prevede un investimento di ~ 5000 K€ in un periodo di 5 anni. Si prevede inoltre un contributo per “Joint Invest Fund” per coprire item comuni non coperti da finanziamenti. Il Memorandum Of Understanding è in preparazione e l’INFN sarà chiamato a firmarlo entro la fine del 2014. Paola Gianotti – PANDA
