"In blue painted of blue" is the true title of the song. The song later became best known like “Flying”. It won in Sanremo festival in The lyrics of this song was written with Franco Migliacci. The song was translated into 13 languages, was a big success all over the world. Modugno said that the chorus "fly, oh, oh" was created looking at the blue sky, Migliacci instead said that he had invented the chorus while he was looking at the Marc Chagall's painting "Le coq rouge". Modugno sang the song in an American television program, Ed Sullivan show, and then he begins a tour. The Americans called him Mr. Fly and also his song becomes famous with this title, in Italian "Volare". From 1958 to nowadays the song was sung by many singers, the most recent version is that of the contemporary Italian singer Emma Marrone.
