Figure 1 MMP-9 expression in patients with chronic gastritis and peptic ulcer before and after H. pylori eradication. Twenty-five patients H. pylori positive (18 with chronic gastritis and 7 with gastric ulcer) were eradicated and MMP-9 expression was assessed by immunohistochemical analysis, and scored from 2 to 0. ∗P < 0.01, ∗∗P < 0.001, before and after eradication.
