2 Quinta Tradizione “Ciascun Gruppo non ha che un solo scopo primario. Trasmettere il messaggio al mangiatore compulsive che ancora soffre.”  Tradition Five Each group has but one primary purpose – to carry its message to the compulsive overeater who still suffers.”

3 Principio spirituale: Scopo
La parola “scopo” indica la ragione per cui qualcosa esiste o viene fatto. Intenzione o obiettivo. The word Purpose means the reason for which something exists or is done; intention or objective.

4 Per consevare la mia astinenza, devo condividere la soluzione con altri.
When I was new in OA I learned that if I wanted to keep the gift of abstinence that I would have to share what I had learned or risk losing it.

5 Trasmetto il messaggio agli altri attraverso la sponsorizzazione.
My sponsor explained that one of the ways recovery works is passing it on to another member through sponsoring.

Concentrarsi sulla trasmissione del messaggio. Concentrarsi su ciò che ci accomuna. I focus on our primary purpose. I concentrate on what we have in common.

Evitare di dare consigli I avoid giving advice.

Offire: Incoraggiamento Comprensione Ascolto I offer encouragement, understanding and a listening ear.

11 Cosa significa la Quinta Tradizione per me
Condivido come OA mi aiuta. Trasmetto il messaggio. I share how OA helps me. I can’t keep it unless I give it away.

12 Cosa significa la Quinta Tradizione per me
Sono responsabile e devo partecipare. Le tradizioni e la coscienza di gruppo si applicano a noi tutti. I don’t avoid issues by saying: “The Traditions or the Group Conscience don’t apply to me.”

13 Cosa significa la Quinta Tradizione per me
Accolgo I membri in ricaduta. La ricaduta non è contagiosa. I welcome members in relapse. Relapse is not contagious

14 Cosa significa la Quinta Tradizione per me
Mi offro di sponsorizzare anche temporaneamente. Never let a member leave without a sponsor if they want one, even if it is temporary.

15 Che cosa significa la Quinta Tradizione per me
Mantengo il messaggio semplice. Keep the message simple.

16 Cosa significa la Quinta Tradizione per me
Trasmetto il messaggio svolgendo servizio oltre il livello di gruppo. I carry the message by giving service beyond the group level.

17 Impegno di responsabilità di OA
“Che la mano e il cuore di OA siano sempre pronti per tutti coloro che condividono la mia compulsione: per questo io sono responsabile” OA’s Responsibility Pledge : - Always to extend the hand and heart of OA to all who share my compulsion; for this I am responsible.
