A. AUTHORS [CENTURY GOTHIC, 24] Affiliations [Century Gothic, 24] One Health: multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder approach to promote health and sustainable development at local and global level [Calibri Bold, 20] INSTRUCTIONS Edit the poster header by adding TITLE, AUTHORS and AFFILIATIONS, slightly decreasing the font size only in case of very long texts. The left hand-side column text can be edited by typing no more than 4600 characters (spaces included). In addition, the dimensions of the column text cannot be changed, thus respecting the grid as in this template. To add your images, please respect the grid cells provided. You can use more than one grid cell to add your image and the related caption. Captions need to include the related credits (e.g. reference/page number or link). Captions can be added just below each image or can be gathered in a single text box. In the latter case, the text box can be placed just like this box of instructions or, alternatively, at the end of the your text in the left hand-side column. [Calibri, 20, 4600 battute] The One Health (OH) concept recognizes the relationship between humans, animals and environment, and represents the combined effort of several professional disciplines (operating at local, national and global levels) to achieve the optimal and integrated health status of people, animals and the environment itself. The One Health approach not only defines the integration between different disciplines, but also the systemic integration as a working methodology. The approach is first and foremost a way of observing and analyzing health in the complexity of its determinants and of the strategies to be implemented in order to guarantee it, through an open, collaborative and continuous dialogue among local communities, institutional actors, profit and no-profit organisations and the academia. Today, this is particularly relevant, considering that 2/3 of emerging diseases is of animal origin (zoonotic) and that climate change, globalization, global overpopulation and loss of biodiversity are profoundly altering the health of the environment, animals and people, underlining the current importance of a multisectoral approach in research and promotion of health. The Panel Session intends analysing the One Health, as ideal approach to tackle these problems that characterize the twenty-first century and contributing to achieve the global health and sustainable development. Through the presentation and discussion of applications of the OH concept at local level, the panel aims at deepening the meaning and benefits, as well as the challenges and threats, of the multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder strategy and collect good practices to promote the same approach at global level. Moreover, the panel will support the communication and networking among actors working on the issue.
