MGT-03 is a mandatory PMP document. It is required for the OPEN stage gate review. This document consolidates the opening conditions of the project. It expresses the decision to achieve a specific set of objectives before a given deadline. Specifies the elements used by management to justify the decision to OPEN a project. Marks the official beginning of the project, responsibility agreement by the project manager, and the start of the expenditure recording.. This document is written prior to the Formal Stage Gate Review and once approved constitutes completion of the Phase. This document is considered to be a summary or synthesis of all work done to meet the criteria to Pass the stage gate. In most cases more detailed documentation will have captured this work and this PMP deliverable document collects and summarizes the salient points of these other documents. This PMP deliverable document is to be stored in the Genesis Project Data Management system. This document constitute a template. It is requested that you do not change these section headings. Following each heading you can place your cursor and enter your information. Insert as many lines, page breaks…etc as are required to complete that section. You are not limited to the initial space shown in the template. Pictures and diagrams may also be added inside these sections. The notes section this template is guide on how to complete the template, document. The guide is only for instruction purposes; project information needs to be added to the template and not the guide. This presentation has been reviewed for global use.
