The Sun was in his bathing suit. The Moon in her pajamas The Sun was in his bathing suit. The Moon in her pajamas. They played all day until the two were called in by their mamas. The Sun went home and climbed in bed. His mama sang a tune. And soon the Sun was fast asleep and dreaming of the Moon. The Moon decided not to go. Instead she stayed outside. She danced and played and laughed and sang, til she was sleepy-eyed.
When morning came, the Sun arose and went outside to play When morning came, the Sun arose and went outside to play. But could not find his friend, the Moon, who slept inside all day. So now these two are best of friends apart by dark and light. The Sun turns in at evenfall. The Moon comes out at night. The shining Moon sees no sunlight. The Sun sees no moonbeams. But when they both are fast asleep, theyre in each others dreams
Il Sole era in costume da bagno. E la Luna in pigiama. Traduzione: Il Sole era in costume da bagno. E la Luna in pigiama. Giocarono tutto il santo giorno, finché le mamme non li chiamarono. Il Sole andò a casa e si mise a letto. La mamma gli cantò una dolce melodia. E lui ben presto si addormentò, sognando la Luna. La luna decise invece di fermarsi. E così restò fuori di casa. Danzò, giocò, rise e cantò, finché gli occhi non si chiusero per il sonno.
Quando arrivò il mattino, il Sole si levò e andò fuori a giocare. Ma non trovò la sua amica, la Luna, che per tutto il giorno dormì in casa. Così ora quei due sono grandi amici, separati però dal buio e dalla luce. Il Sole all’imbrunire va a dormire. E la Luna esce fuori la notte. La luna splendente non vede la luce del sole. E il Sole non vede i raggi della Luna. Ma, appena si addormentano, sono ciascuno nei sogni dell’altro.
