Inglese Enchanted Journey in Sicily DAY 1: Arrival in Catania airport at 9.00 a.m. and transfer by bus to “UNA Hotel Palace”, in the city centre. At 12.00 a.m. lunch at “Trattoria del Cavaliere”, with a tasteful typical Sicilian menu. At 3.00 p.m. sightseeing throughout the city centre of Catania and visit of the most important monuments like “Castello Ursino”; “Cattedrale di Sant’Agata”; “Monastero dei Benedettini”, “Villa Bellini”; “Teatro M. Bellini”. At 7.00 p.m. come back to the hotel and dinner. DAY 2: Breakfast at 8.00 and at 9.00 departure to Taormina surrounded by its magical and mythical atmosphere and lunch. At 5.00 p.m. return to Catania and dinner at the hotel. DAY 3: Breakfast at 8.00 and at 9.00 departure to Syracuse and sightseeing throughout the city. The city is notable for its rich Greek history, culture, amphitheatres, architecture, and as the birthplace of the preeminent mathematician and engineer Archimedes. At 11.00 a.m. visit of the important historical museum “Paolo Orsi”. At 1.00 p.m. lunch at “La Vela restaurant”. At 3.00 p.m. visit of the famous Ortigia, a small island which is the historical centre of the city. At 7.00 p.m. come back to the hotel and dinner. DAY 4: Breakfast at 8.00 and at 9.00 departure to Modica, the wonderful baroque part of the Sicily, renowned by its typical chocolate, prepared with an ancient and original recipe which gives the chocolate a peculiar grainy texture and aromatic flavor. Lunch at “Osteria degli antichi sapori” with traditional menu and transfer to Ragusa Ibla, the oldest part of Ragusa and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sightseeing of the city and transfer to “Hotel Barocco”. Dinner and free time to visit and relax. DAY 5: Breakfast at 8.00 and at 9.00 transfer to Agrigento, well-known for its Greek history and the archaeological site. Visit of the “Valle dei Templi”. Lunch with lunch box, transfer to “Hotel della Valle” and dinner. DAY 6: Departure to Cefalu’ and sightseeing of the city. Lunch at “Il Normanno” restaurant and transfer to Palermo, the capital of Sicily. Tour of the principal monuments: “Palazzo dei Normanni”, “Cappella Palatina”, “Teatro Massimo”, “Piazza delle Vergogne”, “Cattedrale”. Transfer to hotel “Ibis Styles” and dinner. Day 7: Breakfast at 9.00 and departure from Palermo airport. 800€ per person all included: flights, hotels, restaurants, entry tickets, and English guide where required.
