Se un fratello o una sorella si trovano senza vestito e mancanti del cibo quotidiano e qualcuno di voi dicesse loro: «Arrivederci: andate in pace, scaldatevi e saziatevi da voi», e non deste loro ciò che è necessario per il corpo, che utilità ne avreste? Così anche la fede, se non ha le opere, di per se stessa è senza vita. Ma qualcuno potrà dire: «Hai la fede e io ho le opere». 9 Se infatti con il corpo sono lontano, con lo spirito sono con voi e vedo con gioia la vostra disciplina e la vostra saldezza nella fede per Cristo. Come dunque avete ricevuto il Cristo Gesù, il Signore, in lui continuate a vivere, radicati e sopraelevati su di lui e consolidati nella fede come siete stati istruiti, abbondando in ringraziamenti.Badate che nessuno vi faccia sua preda con la «filosofia», questo fatuo inganno che si ispira alle tradizioni umane, agli elementi del mondo e non a Cristo, poiché è in lui che dimora corporalmente tutta la pienezza della divinità (Col 2,5-9) Although I am far from you, my spirit is with you and I rejoice in recalling how well- disciplined you are and how firm in the faith of Christ. 10 Gesù stava ancora parlando, quando dalla casa del capo della sinagoga giunsero alcuni che dissero a quest'ultimo: «Tua figlia è morta! Perché importuni ancora il Maestro?». Ma Gesù, avendo inteso per caso il discorso che facevano, disse al capo della sinagoga: «Non temere, ma solamente abbi fede !»………………… Giunti alla casa del capo della sinagoga, …………... Gesù stava ancora parlando, quando dalla casa del capo della sinagoga giunsero alcuni che dissero a quest'ultimo: «Tua figlia è morta! Perché importuni ancora il Maestro?». Ma Gesù, avendo inteso per caso il discorso che facevano, disse al capo della sinagoga: «Non temere, ma solamente abbi fede !»………………… Giunti alla casa del capo della sinagoga, …………... entrato, disse loro: «Perché fate chiasso e piangete? La fanciulla non è morta, ma dorme». Quelli incominciarono a deriderlo. Ma egli, messili fuori tutti, prese con sé il padre della fanciulla con la madre e i discepoli ed entrò dove si trovava la fanciulla. Quindi, presa la mano della fanciulla, le disse: «Talithà kum!», che tradotto significa: «Fanciulla, ti dico, sorgi!». Subito la fanciulla si alzò e si mise a camminare. Aveva, infatti, dodici anni. Essi furono presi da grande stupore. (Mc 5,35-42) While Jesus was still speaking, some people arrived from the official's house to inform him, "Your daughter is dead. 11 Ma noi dobbiamo rendere grazie a Dio sempre per voi, fratelli amati dal Signore, perché Dio vi ha scelti fin da principio per la salvezza nella santificazione dello Spirito e nella fede della verità.Proprio a questo ha chiamato voi per mezzo del nostro vangelo, per il possesso della gloria del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo. Ma noi dobbiamo rendere grazie a Dio sempre per voi, fratelli amati dal Signore, perché Dio vi ha scelti fin da principio per la salvezza nella santificazione dello Spirito e nella fede della verità.Proprio a questo ha chiamato voi per mezzo del nostro vangelo, per il possesso della gloria del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo.
