1 Gstaad Some have heard of it – some haven’t. Gstaad is a little place in Europe located in the french part of Switzerland. With a population of 3,400 it’s not a big city – but it’s a town full of secrets. Alcuni ne avranno sentito parlare, altri no. Gstaad è un piccolo villaggio in Europa, che si trova nella parte francese della Svizzera. Con una popolazione di 3400 abitanti, non è una grande città (ma è un paese pieno di segreti).

2 Gstaad is known for the rich and wealthy people. Since it isn’t the biggest tourist destination, it’s a place where the rich and famous can hide and go on vacation without being seen. In this little town there are lots of hotels – 4 of them with 5 stars. Two of them are members of the Leading Hotels of the World. Gstaad è conosciuta dalle persone ricche e benestanti. Dato che non è una della maggiori mete turistiche, è un posto dove le persone ricche e famose possono nascondersi e andare in vacanza senza essere viste. In questo piccolo paese ci sono molti hotel (quattro dei quali a cinque stelle). Due sono membri della Leading Hotels of the World.

3 When I read about all the people, who visited Gstaad, I felt like I had to go! And fortunately, I got a job offer from one of the two best hotels in the area. It was a chance I couldn’t miss. I clearly remember the first day. Stepping out of the train looking for a taxi that could bring me to the hotel. I had no idea how expensive the taxi ride would be, but luckily I had enough money with me. Quando ho letto di tutte le persone che hanno visitato Gstaad, ho sentito che dovevo andarci! E fortunatamente ho ricevuto un’offerta di lavoro da uno dei due migliori hotel della zona. Era un’occasione che non potevo perdere. Ricordo chiaramente il primo giorno. Uscendo dal treno, ho cercato un taxi che avrebbe potuto portarmi all’hotel. Non avevo idea di quanto sarebbe stata costosa la corsa, ma fortunatamente avevo abbastanza denaro con me.

4 Suddenly I stood in front of the big hotel, where I was going to work! Of course, the hotel was beautiful. There was even a Gucci and a diamond store inside. Glamorous! All people were extremely friendly, and even though I was an employee, I felt like a guest the first day. My first impression was better than expected. All’improvviso mi sono trovata di fronte al bellissimo hotel dove sarei andata a lavorare! Naturalmente, l’albergo era meraviglioso. All’interno c’erano persino un negozio di Gucci e di diamanti. Incantevole! Tutte le persone erano estremamente amichevoli e, anche se ero un dipendente, mi sentivo come un ospite il primo giorno. La prima impressione è stata ancora meglio del previsto.
