The proportion of persons excluded because they had undergone a CRC screening test within the previous 2 years was similar for FOBT (19.3%) and for endoscopy (18.6%); patients suffering from severe disease or severe psychiatric symptoms represented 13.3% and 10.9% of the exclusions, respectively, whereas 28.4% of the patients had moved before randomization. &Undeliverable letters excluded.
