1 Jean-Baptiste Lamarck
Jean-Baptiste Lamarck è stato un naturalista, biologo e chimico francese. Coniò verso la fine del XVIII secolo il termine "biologia" ed elaborò la teoria detta “Lamarckismo”.

2 LAMARCK- DARWIN Lamarck giunse alla conclusione che gli organismi, fossero il risultato di un processo graduale di modificazione Lamarck rimane il primo scienziato ad affermare la trasformazione dei viventi.

4 NATURAL SELECTION AND RELIGION
Religiouse theories say that human being are a creation of God. Darwin’s theory on the origin of species, introduced an alternative idea to the creation, based on the idea of trasformation and modification. In fact, Darwin explains that, existence is a process of evolution and natural selection. Only the organisms with the most benefical traits will survive and prosper.

5 LAMARCK: L’ESEMPIO DELLE GIRAFFE
Secondo Lamarck l’ evoluzione del collo della giraffa è il risultato degli sforzi per mangiare le foglie degli alberi.

6 DARWIN:L’ESEMPIO DELLE GIRAFFE
Secondo Darwin, l’allungamento del collo delle giraffe è dovuto invece ad una mutazione genetica. Grazie a questa modificazione, sono nate delle giraffe avvantaggiate a vivere nell’ambiente. Questi nuovi individui sopravvivono alle giraffe con il collo più corto.
