2 RPC DCS nel CRAFT09 THE DCS worked smoothly during all the craft period, no interruption in the services. Promptly signaled all the problematic situation occurred. I got ZERO nightly call! Integrated in the central DCS, able to receive command from it and to be centrally controlled. The hardware worked fine, with minimal intervention during all the period, a couple of channels needs to be investigated during the shutdown (less then 1% of the entire system). PVSS has been used easily from the shifter. Not expert people fast learnt how to monitor all the most important information, also thanks to the shifter check-list to be filled. All the RPC PVSS pcs, upgraded to the 3.8 version, that has been proven to be more stable and faster then the previous version. Central server and CR pc will be moved during the sept shutdown.

6 Alarm Handling A Dedicated RPC Alarm display has been created in additional to the standard tools provided for the Central Shift. More RPC oriented and easy-to-use. Allows to spot quickly new warning condition with major severity level and to find out the impact of such situation on the system. Regarding the alarm handling, needs to be identified the person to contact in case of different alarm occurred and the possible action to take in different cases. 7 Open Issues Capire cosa possiamo chiedere al central shifter e cosa invece al shifter RPC (procedure, check, alarmi? Ogni quanto?) Definire la percentuale di majority per sistema in ON (10 %?) Definire le condizioni per cui sono richieste azioni AUTOMATICHE (temperature >23 standby) Temperatura feb ->LV OFF cooling off, system off? Magnete ramping? Kill? DCS review for central Shifter prevista per la prima settimana di Ottobre Manuali

8 Conclusioni Il DCS per gli RPC e oramai maturo e funzionante, facilmente utilizzato dalla maggiorperte degli shifter. Il controllo e parte delle operazioni di monitoraggio verranno condivise con lo shifter centrale, una serie di pannelli di informazioni generali sono preparate e visibili dal pannello centrale per avere una sorta di RPC Page 1. Plot generali ed allarmi specifici sono stati definiti e implementati per gli RPC. Compito del RPC shifter durante il craft e stato quello di visualizzare periodicamente queste informazioni e segnalarle all;rpc shift leader. Parte di queste compiti non possono essere trasferiti al central shift, definire le operazioni da fare per il rpc shift sul DCS o nel caso implementare check con gli strumenti offline (WBM, DQM,prompt analisi)
