11 Module- Self declaration  Self declaration module for copyrighted learning content  Module can be integrated in a Learning Management System (LMS) e.g Moodle  Goal: allow authors to provide precise information on terms of use of copyrighted material  An efficient and unified management of licenses  Through:  A fulfillment of an on-line  Description of different contents (typology, duration, file size, format etc) + administrative metadata  Possible use: public domain, Italian copyright law/Legge 641, CCLicense, licence granting use for free, license granting use through a payment of a fee  All these XML based data could feed an aggregator module  goals : to populate a central database to query to handle different of type of license and to generate statistics

12 Self- Declaration Module (2)  This aggregator module was developed with Open Source technology and can be freely used (it was tested on a Moodle platform, it can be used in a Moodle istance or as stand-alone application)  It was developed, tested and validated in the in e-learning Master (University of Tuscia- Viterbo)  The last activity of the project was to draft license to submit to single Italian publisher for the copyrighted material whose use wille be granted only against payment of a fee  This draft was discussed informally with the Italian Publishers Association (AIE)  Next step: contact again Italian Publishers Association,  Rights link - CCC
