Profezie fatte dal nostro Signore Gesù Cristo Testo: Matteo capitolo 24 Slide #1: Song: #7 - Poor Wayfaring Stranger: Sweet Deliverance: Acappella Artists Jesus was the Son of God, the Son of Man (His favorite designation of Himself) but, He was also a prophet. Matthew chapter 24 is one of the greatest chapters or passage of scripture on the second coming of Christ … and who more logical to listen to on this matter but Jesus himself? Matthew 24 is a very fascinating chapter of the bible. Let’s explore the prophecies!

2 I discepoli fanno una domanda a Gesù
Matteo 24:3 “.. «Dicci, quando avverranno queste cose e quale sarà il segno della tua venuta e della fine dell'età presente?» La seconda venuta di Gesù darà avvio alla FINE DELL’ETA’ PRESENTE " Slide # 2: Since Jesus’ second coming will result in the “end of the world”, it is very important that we know the signs of His coming. Bear in mind the question: “How many of the signs have already been fulfilled?” Jesus’ coming will be accompanied by many cataclysmic events (see texts … eg. 2 Peter 3:10, ). But, how will we know when His coming is near? When will the world end? How will the world end? Nuclear holocaust?

3 Dobbiamo studiare le parole di Gesù e mantenere costante la nostra speranza

4 1. Ci saranno molti falsi Cristi (v. 5)

5 2. Guerre e rumori di guerre v. 6
v. 6: “udrete parlare di guerre e di rumori di guerre; guardate di non turbarvi, infatti bisogna che questo avvenga, ma non sarà ancora la fine.” v. 7: “insorgerà nazione contro nazione e regno contro regno;”. 6 3. Ci saranno carestie (v. 7)
v. 7: ci saranno carestie …” Molti muoiono di fame in Etiopia e in altri paesi a causa delle carestie . Slide # 6: We are not talking here about an occasional death here and there, but many thousands (maybe millions dying because of lack of food). Jesus looked down through the ages and saw Ethiopia (19 _), etc. Definition for “famine”: See encyclopaedia for materials on famines. What is the bottom-line reason / cause of famines? Political, war, natural disasters, controlled food supply, etc.

7 4. “… e in vari luoghi pestilenze …” (Luca 21:11)
Negli ultimi anni e nel corso della storia, molti sono morti a causa di diverse piaghe, in adempimento di questa profezia . Slide # 7: Synonyms of “Pestilence”: 1. Epidemic 5. Pandemic 9. Curse 2. 5. “…e terremoti …” (v. 7) v. 7: “… e terremoti in vari luoghi.” Ci sono stati moltissimi terremoti in tutto il mondo. I tre segni appaiono insieme nello stesso verso - a volte si verificano insieme o sono correlati. 9 6. I discepoli di Gesù saranno perseguitati (verso 9)
v. 9: “Allora vi abbandoneranno all'oppressione e vi uccideranno e sarete odiati da tutte le genti a motivo del mio nome...” 2 Tim. 3:12: “tutti quelli che vogliono vivere piamente in Cristo Gesù saranno perseguitati.” Slide # 9: Persecution means: To afflict, oppress, torment. Persecution usually results when church (the dominant church) and state unite to pass laws that affect peoples’ lives, etc. The persecution in the early church, eg. the great Diocletian persecution (10 years), etc. Persecution of Christians today, eg. 7. Falsi Profeti (v. 11) Giovanni Battista era un profeta - il precursore di Gesù Cristo. v. 11: “Molti falsi profeti sorgeranno e sedurranno molti.” Esempio: Nostradamus Slide # 10: There is a proliferation of false prophets today across the world: manifested as tarot card readers, fortune tellers, psychics (“Talk to Safa”). They people claim to know what will happen in the future - principally, what will happen in peoples’ lives. However, they usually do this for some kind of material gain / payment (see experience of the TRUE PROPHET ELISHA: 2 Kings 5: & 26, 27). The true prophet does not work for gain but live and work to glorify the God of Heaven / the King of the Universe. Look up notes on Nostradamus from encyclopaedia, etc. Local / Jamaican prophets,//?? eg. Bedward, etc. // ??

11 8. L’amore di molti si raffredderà (versi 12, 13)
“Poiché l'iniquità aumenterà, l'amore dei più si raffredderà..” v. 13: “Ma chi avrà perseverato sino alla fine sarà salvato.” Slide # 11: Many have left the church; throughout the ages apostasy abounded, etc. All forms of wickedness is now rampant in the earth and, throughout history …men’s hearts are just “desperately wicked”! (text … ). Men want to do as they please … men are lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God … man is grossly selfish … selfishness abounds, is rampant and seemingly “rules the earth”!

12 9. Questo Vangelo del Regno (v. 14)
v. 14: “E questo vangelo del regno sarà predicato in tutto il mondo, affinché ne sia resa testimonianza a tutte le genti; allora verrà la fine..” Slide # 12: The text never said “a gospel” but “this gospel of the kingdom” Revelation 14: contains God’s last great message to mankind: v. 6: “And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people, v. 7: Saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give glory to Him; for the hour of His judgement is come: and worship Him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea and the fountains of waters. v. 8: And there followed another angel saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. v. 9: And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, v. 10: The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of His indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: v. 11: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever: and they have nor rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name, v. 12: Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Apoc.14:

13 10. Gerusalemme sarà distrutta (versi 15 - 20).
Gesù ha predetto che il tempio di Gerusalemme sarebbe stata distrutta ... ed è stato! versi 1 e 2: “…i suoi discepoli gli si avvicinarono per fargli osservare gli edifici del tempio.  Ma egli rispose loro: «Vedete tutte queste cose? Io vi dico in verità: Non sarà lasciata qui pietra su pietra che non sia diroccata»..” Slide # 13: Jerusalem was destroyed in AD 70. Just as Jesus predicted, “not one stone shall be left on another”, the temple was completely destroyed. Thus, we can trust Jesus’ words! Gerusalemme fu distrutta nel 70 d.C.

14 11. La grande tribolazione (versi 21, 22).
“perché allora vi sarà una grande tribolazione, quale non v'è stata dal principio del mondo fino ad ora, né mai più vi sarà.   “Se quei giorni non fossero stati abbreviati, nessuno scamperebbe; ma, a motivo degli eletti, quei giorni saranno abbreviati..” Slide # 14: Tribulation: Hardship, affliction, distress, adversity, trouble, suffering, grief, great difficulty, ordeal,. This refers to the “Dark Ages”1260 days / years persecution - because it says in v. 29: Immediately after the persecution of those days shall the sun be darkened, etc. This happened May 19, 1780.

15 12. False Christs and Prophets / Impersonation of Christ (verses 23 - 28).
23. “Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Slide # 15: A repeat that there would be false Christs (Hebrew - Messiah) and false prophets (see verses … ). This must make it pretty important. An impersonation of Christ is here mentioned … there would be great miracles performed, etc. Get reference from the Spirit of Prophecy writings on this (check G.C.) Satan will impersonate Jesus’ second coming!

16 Versi 25 - 27 25. “Ecco, ve l'ho predetto..
26. Se dunque vi dicono: "Eccolo, è nel deserto", non v'andate; "Eccolo, è nelle stanze interne", non lo credete. 27. Infatti, come il lampo esce da levante e si vede fino a ponente, così sarà la venuta del Figlio dell'uomo. ”

17 13. Giorni oscurati; Stelle che cadono (v. 29)
“Subito dopo la tribolazione di quei giorni, il sole si oscurerà, la luna non darà più il suo splendore, le stelle cadranno dal cielo e le potenze dei cieli saranno scrollate.” Slide # 16: One of / the greatest meteoric shower recorded in history occurred in 1833. Stelle cadenti: 13 Nov. 1833

18 14. Gesù tornerà: (versi 30 - 36)
v. 30 : “Allora apparirà nel cielo il segno del Figlio dell'uomo; e allora tutte le tribù della terra faranno cordoglio e vedranno il Figlio dell'uomo venire sulle nuvole del cielo con gran potenza e gloria.” Early Writings, p. 15 -

19 15. Come ai giorni di Noè (versi 37 - 39)
37. “Come fu ai giorni di Noè, così sarà alla venuta del Figlio dell'uomo. 38 . Infatti, come nei giorni prima del diluvio si mangiava e si beveva, si prendeva moglie e s'andava a marito, fino al giorno in cui Noè entrò nell'arca”. Ai giorni di Noè la vita scorreva come sempre

20 Verso 39: “e la gente non si accorse di nulla, finché venne il diluvio che portò via tutti quanti, così avverrà alla venuta del Figlio dell'uomo”. Verso 42: “Vegliate, dunque, perché non sapete in quale giorno il vostro Signore verrà.” Verse 44: “Perciò, anche voi siate pronti; perché, nell'ora che non pensate, il Figlio dell'uomo verrà.”
