Non solo un genere musicale Anche e soprattutto un fenomeno sociale Un insieme di idee che influenzano il modo di pensare, di vestire, di vedere la vita di intere generazioni tra gli anni 60 e gli anni 80 (esempio dei jeans...) Rock è rompere con la generazione degli adulti, con la società normale, con leducazione e la scuola
