Tabu, purificazione,morale(Taboo, purification, moral) Cassirer ritiene che la religione di Zoroastro attui il passaggio tra sistema dei tabu e della purificazioni (tipico delle religioni mitiche)al sistema della legge morale garantita appunto da un dio unico Ahura Mazda. Cassirer considers that the religion of Zoroaster exactly puts into effect the passage between system of the taboo and the purifications (typical of the mythical religions) to the system of the guaranteed moral law from a God only Ahura Mazda.p.189.

Scelta delle due vie Chosen of the two ways E' la scelta delle due vie il bene e il male. Potremmo dire che il sistema del tabu e della purificazione non equivale alla scelta tra il bene e il male.La purificazione è soprattutto fisica (lavare il corpo) It is the choice of the two ways the good and the evil. We could say that the system of the taboo and the purification is not equivalent to the choice between the good and the evil. The purification is above all physical (to wash the body)

Tabu (Taboo) Il tabu è invece fisico e spirituale (contaminazione con i morti, colpa morale) e dunque non è evitabile. Esprime il concetto del Noli me tangere ma non è facilmente purificabile.
