Arrhythmic Death results: MADIT: Was calculated to be 75% based on the difference between the percent of arrhythmia deaths for the conventional therapy (12.9%) and the percent of arrhythmia deaths for ICD therapy (3.15%) over the time period of the study, with an average follow-up of 27 months. MUSTT: Was 73% - based on the relative risk of event of defibrillator therapy as compared with no arrhythmic therapy for the time period of the study with the average follow-up of 39 months. MADIT-II:Was calculated to be 62% based on the difference between the percent of arrhythmia deaths for the conventional therapy (9.39%) and the percent of arrhythmia deaths for ICD therapy (3.63%) over the time period of the study, with an average follow-up of 20 months.
