7 7 Avvio progetto SPOKEN ENGLISH, attuato in compresenza nelle classi seconda media della GALILEO FERRARIS, coordinatrice la prof.ssa Nichilo, e con la preziosa collaborazione delle docenti prof.ssa Di Molfetta, prof.ssa Germinario, prof.ssa Preziosa. Sinceri ringraziamenti al dirigente scolastico, che ha autorizzato il progetto. Avvio progetto EARLY ENGLISH LEARNING in collaborazione con lasilo nido PETER PAN. Abbiamo avviato un anno sperimentale per quanto riguarda linsegnamento precoce della lingua straniera. Dobbiamo ringraziare i genitori dei piccini a noi affidati per due incontri settimanali della fiducia e della partecipazione generosamente a noi accordate.

9 9 Ripresa delle attività il 9 gennaio, 2012 Presentazione del progetto EARLY ENGLISH LEARNING nel complesso scolastico SALNITRO e istituti affiliati, nelle classi della scuola dinfanzia. Ringrazio vivamente la prof.ssa Castellini, dirigente del IV Circolo Didattico, che ha reso possibile questa iniziativa. Insieme a Enza Martina e al suo staff, hanno supportato con gentile disponibilità la nostra docente, Amishi Desai. Dobbiamo ringraziare loro se hanno saputo comunicare limportanza di iniziare quanto prima linsegnamento della lingua straniera già dai primi anni di vita scolastica.

10 10 Avvio progetto EARLY ENGLISH LEARNING nel IV C.D., nei plessi di Via Salnitro, di Via Carrara Reddito, e a Via Falcone Borsellino Dopo la prima settimana di presentazione, da febbraio fino a giugno, nel programma didattico degli alunni della scuola dinfanzia del IV C.D. Don Uva, sarà inclusa unora di insegnamento della lingua inglese.

12 12 Incoraggiata dallevidente approvazione di tutto ciò che finora è stato fatto alla BETTER ENGLISH, mi sento di condividere con voi i sogni e le idee che potrebbero essere realizzate nel prossimo futuro. Vi invito, con grande sincerità, di portare qui anche le vostre idee. Tutto ciò che si può fare, si cercherà di fare.

13 13 Una domanda frequente è di sapere se la NEWHORIZONS - BETTERENGLISH organizza corsi e / o attività durante il periodo estivo. Ebbene, per la gioia dei bambini [e dei genitori che si scapigliano per inventare cose da fare per loro], vi informo che si sta lavorando per realizzare un progetto estivo. Resta solo da confermare il programma, e le risorse umane che saranno coinvolte. I dettagli del progetto saranno resi noti entro la fine di febbraio o inizio marzo. Per la stessa ragione, per rispondere alle vostre richieste, ci stiamo organizzando anche per poter offrire la possibilità di effettuare vacanze studio [e non!] nel Regno Unito [Inghilterra, Irlanda, Scozia].

14 14 Le attività extra hanno riscosso curiosità più che adesioni, ma dobbiamo anche pensare che eravamo nel periodo pre-natalizio, dove tutti noi siamo presi dalla frenesia del Natale. I bambini si sono divertiti a decorare lalbero di Natale, e abbiamo esposto il Presepe per tutto il periodo, il simbolo più bello e più importante del Natale. Avrete visto in giro per la scuola manifestini e poster che pubblicizzano attività varie. Ebbene, mi fa piacere informarvi che presso la scuola è possibile frequentare, dal mese di febbraio in poi, corsi che permetteranno il recupero degli anni scolastici, fino al raggiungimento del diploma della scuola secondaria di secondo grado. Il punto più interessante è stato laccordo con luniversità telematica PEGASO. Questo accordo è vantaggioso per chi frequenta la Better English, perché si ha diritto ad uno sconto notevole allatto delliscrizione. Laccordo assicura anche un calendario di presenza per i tutor in sede, assicurando supporto accademico agli studenti e la presenza della piattaforma e-learning che sarà allestita in sede.

21 21 Ive been glad to see so many familiar and new faces this year in our school. In recent years I have concentrated on teaching mostly advanced adult courses and preparation for Cambridge exams. For a change, this year I have an Elementary adult group, and seven groups of children and teens! 23 23 Gentili Genitori La NEW HORIZONS-BETTER ENGLISH organizza corsi di inglese finalizzati alla certificazione delle competenze linguistiche. La certificazione sarà effettuata dal TRINITY COLLEGE in una data compresa tra il 28 maggio e il 24 giugno, 2012. Liscrizione per lesame deve essere fatta improrogabilmente entro il 1 aprile,2012. Si accettano iscrizioni ai corsi che si terranno presso la sede della NewHorizons-BetterEnglish a Via Aldo Moro, 42. Leducazione dei nostri figli è un investimento, in questo modo abbiamo mantenuto linvestimento al livello più basso possibile. Nonostante la certificazione delle competenze linguistiche non sia generalmente pensato per alunni delle scuole medie, forte di una esperienza ultra-decennale nel settore riteniamo che i risultati migliori nellapprendimento linguistico e nel successivo uso della lingua straniera sono riscontrabili proprio in quegli alunni che iniziano prima ed in maniera costante ad avere confronti con la lingua reale. Il TRINITY, ente certificatore britannico, firmatario del protocollo dintesa con il M.I.U.R., rilascia certificati [non attestati], che vanno dal primo al dodicesimo livello, e sono tutti riconosciuti legalmente dallo Stato Italiano e a livello internazionale e spendibili sia come crediti formativi, sia per esigenze di lavoro in futuro

24 24 I corsi saranno calibrati per età, classe e livello di partenza con un programma idoneo. I gruppi saranno costituiti da non più di 10 alunni, per assicurare lattenzione necessaria. Il materiale didattico sarà totalmente a cura della NewHorizons-BetterEnglish. Il costo degli esami varia in base ai livelli, e le quote sono inviate tramite bonifico [vi sarà consegnata una copia] al TRINITY COLLEGE, UK. Avendo a cuore questa iniziativa, abbiamo fatto quanto più possibile per ridurre al minimo il dispendio di tempo per gli alunni, e di soldi per i genitori.
