2 Definizione Gli indefiniti some, any, no e none si usano per fare riferimento in modo approssimativo, ovvero non preciso, a persone, cose o luoghi. In forma composta con one/body, thing o where diventano pronomi o avverbi.

3 Come si formano -1 AFFERMATIVA There is some cheese in the fridge.
SOME e ANY possono essere sia aggettivi sia pronomi usati con sostantivi non numerabili o sostantivi numerabili al plurale. In generale some viene usato nelle frasi affermative e any nelle interrogative e negative: AFFERMATIVA There is some cheese in the fridge. INTERROGATIVA Have we got any cheese? NEGATIVA We have not got any cheese.

4 Come si formano -2 NO (aggettivo) e NONE (pronome) possono
essere usati al posto di any, ma in questo caso il verbo deve essere alla forma affermativa: There are no tickets left. – There aren’t any tickets left. Have you got any brothers? I’ve got none – I haven’t got any.

5 Come si formano -3 I composti di SOME, ANY, NO (pronomi indefiniti) si riferiscono a persone, cose e luoghi che non conosciamo con esattezza e seguono le stesse regole nella formazione delle frasi: Somebody (someone) left a mess in the classroom. Are you doing anything this weekend? There is nowhere like home! Vanno sempre coniugati con un verbo alla terza persona singolare. PERSONE COSE LUOGHI some body/one thing where any no

6 Quando si usano -1 Si usa some in frasi affermative per indicare un numero impreciso: Some students were absent today. alcuni

7 Quando si usano -2 Si può usare some anche con domande che iniziano Can..?, Will…?, Shall…?, May…? ecc…nelle richieste e offerte: Can you put some sun cream on me? Richiede della crema.

8 Haven’t you got some of those books already?
Quando si usano -3 Some può essere usato anche nelle domande per cui ci si aspetta una risposta affermativa: Haven’t you got some of those books already? Chi chiede pensa di sì.

9 ⇩ Quando si usano -4 Any si usa nelle frasi negative:
Mary has not got any work experience, she is only 16 years old. Non ha alcuna esperienza.

10 Quando si usano -5 Any si usa anche nelle domande per riferirsi a una certa quantità: Have you got any new CDs? Dei nuovi CD.

11 Altre forme One of my friends is a photographer.
Some of (plurale) e one of (singolare) si riferiscono a più di un oggetto e sono sempre seguiti dai sostantivi o pronomi al plurale: One of my friends is a photographer. I would like to some of those old photos he took. Some of them are very interesting. Altre forme

L’aggettivo every può essere composto con –body/one, –thing, –where per esprimere l’idea di “ogni”. 13 Per esercitarsi Completa la frase con gli indefiniti (anche composti) appropriati. Are you going …………….…… this Sunday? I’ve got ……………fresh oranges. ………………… went well at the concert. The party was great ……………..had fun. Have you got ……………….onions? ……………..my friends is a teacher. She hasn’t got …………….friends. John wants ……………..to eat.
