“ La verità (Satya) implica amore, e ha fermezza (Agraha) genera e quindi né è sinonimo la forza. Perciò ho preso a chiamare satyagraha il movimento per l’indipendenza dell’India, vale a dire : una forza che nasce dalla verità, dall’amore, dalla non – violenza”.

7 GANDHI: La Non Violence
Mohandas Gandhi (Perbandar,2 octobre Delhi, 30 janvier 1948) Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi,appelè le Mahatma (en sanskrit: -la grande ame-) est l’un des pères fondateurs de l’Indie moderne et un défenseur de la non-violence comme moyen révolutionnaire. La non violence,pourquoi? Parce que la violence,ça fait mal! Ça fait mail de la subir,ça fait mal de voir les autres la subir,ça fait mal de l’exercer.Ensuite l’expérience montre que la violence ne résoud pas les problèmes. Gandhi a luttè pour libérer l’Inde du joug britannique. Le principe giudant Gandhi,le satyagraha (vérité et fermeté) a inspiré des générations de militants démocrates et antiracistes parmi lesquels Martin Luther King et Nelson Mandela. L’histoire de l’Inde parlera toujours de “ La marche du sel “ La marche du sel En 1930,les Anglais mettent une taxe sur le sel. A cause de la chaleur tropicale,certe denrée et aussi nécessaire que l’air et l’eau à tous ceux qui travaillent durement et transpirent,ainsi qu’à leur bétail.Le peuple était trop pauvre puor payer une telle taxe. Ceux qui habitaient au bord de la mer auraient pu en fabriquer en faisant bouillir de l’eau, Mais cel était interdit. Alors,le Mahatma décida d’inviter tout le peuple de l’Indie à violer cette interdiction. Il se mit en marche vers l’océan en compagnie de 79 amis dans le but de recueillir de l’eau de mer,la faire bouillir sur la plage et de consommer le sel qui cristalliserait sur le bord de la chaudière. Le 5 avril 1930,Gandhi atteignit la mer avec ses disciples et des dizaines des milliers de personnes. Le lendemain,il en tira du sel.Son example fut suivi. Il fut arrêté. La police ouvrit le feu sur la foule.Les manifestants au premier rang tombèrent sous la mitraille et aussitot après,un second rang se présenta,la poitrione découverte,devant les soldats qui refusèrent de tirer. L’inde n’avait plus peur….

11 MARTIN LUTHER KING ( ) He was the leader of American Civil Rights movement the famous Montgomery Bus Boycott In 1964 King received the Nobel Peace Prize And believed in non-violent civil disobedience King was arrested many times and became more famous He was assassinated on 4 April 1968 Rosa Parks refused to give her seat to a white person in Montgomery In 1986 Martin Luther King Day was declared a national holiday King led a huge peaceful march through Washington She was arrested and King organized I HAVE A DREAM

L’ artista vuole far capire che non importa il colore della pelle... Che siamo tutti uguali, nessuno è diverso dall’altro. Questa canzone esprime il concetto dell’anti-razzismo verso le persone nere. Il testo rappresenta pienamente tutti gli ideali di Martin Luther King uno uomo che si è battuto per l’uguaglianza tra i popoli.
