The aims of my lecture will be - to give an overview of some mathematical models recently developed to support cancer research - to describe some open problems of interest both from a mathematical and a bio-medical viewpoint Actually from the bio-medical point of view there is now a strong request for interaction on concrete problems. In general bio/medical problems present a type of difficulty not encountered in other fields. In fact new theories need to be developed.
