2 Present Perfect PASSATO PRESENTE FUTURO Present Perfect Simple Past
Simple Present

3 Formazione HAVE/HAS + PARTICIPIO PASSATO del verbo principale
Il Present Perfect si costruisce CON: HAVE/HAS + PARTICIPIO PASSATO del verbo principale Il participio passato può essere regolare o irregolare verbi regolari: si forma aggiungendo –ed alla forma base del verbo e.g I have played verbi irregolari ° colonna del paradigma.

4 Forma interrogativa: l’inversione (have/has + soggetto + pp).
La forma negativa si costruisce con not – contratto nella lingua parlata o scritta informale –tra l’ausiliare have/has e il pp. La forma interrogativo-negativa si costruisce con haven’t/hasn’t seguiti dal soggetto e dal pp. Nelle short answers si ripete l’ausiliare have. (yes, I have. – no, I haven’t)

5 FORMA AFFERMATIVA I have arrived you have arrived he has arrived she has arrived it has arrived we have arrived they have arrived

6 FORMA AFFERMATIVA CONTRATTA
I’ve arrived you’ve arrived he’s arrived she’s arrived it’s arrived we’ve arrived they’ve arrived

7 FORMA INTERROGATIVA have I finished? have you finished? has he finished? has she finished? has it finished? have we finished? have they finished?

8 FORMA NEGATIVA I have not finished you have not finished he has not finished she has not finished it has not finished we have not finished they have not finished

9 FORMA NEGATIVA CONTRATTA
I haven’t finished you haven’t finished he hasn’t finished she hasn’t finished it hasn’t finished we haven’t finished they haven’t finished

10 FORMA INTERRO-NEGATIVA CONTRATTA
haven’t I called? haven’t you called? hasn’t he called? hasn’t she called? hasn’t it called? haven’t we called? haven’t they called?

She feels clean and fresh.

I have sailed across the Atlantic

Have you ever seen a tiger? avverbi di tempo: already (già), just(appena), yet (ancora), lately/recently, still (ancora – nelle frasi negative) Eg. Have you found a job yet?

15 N.B. ATTENZIONE ALLA POSIZIONE DEGLI AVVERBI DI FREQUENZA E DI TEMPO NELLA FRASE!
Often, ever, never, already e just si mettono tra to have e il p.p.; Yet, not...yet, lately e recently si mettono alla fine della frase.

16 SIMPLE PAST VS. PRESENT PERFECT
Si può usare il Past Simple, ma non il Present Perfect, per fare domande con What time?, When?, e per fare frasi che riguardano il momento in cui le cose sono avvenute (es. at five o'clock, in 1977, three hours ago): e.g A: What time did the plane land? (non What time has the plane landed?) B: It landed at five o'clock. (non It has landed at five o'clock.) A: When did John Lennon die? (non When has he dicd?) B: He died in l980. (non He has died in 1980.)

e.g. When I was in the army, I had a terrible time. I was almost back home when the storm started.

Ann has broken her arm. (Adesso è rotto.) Bill has made the salad. (L’ insalata è pronta adesso.) Il Past Simple INVECE non ha alcuna implicazione con la situazione presente: James broke his arm last year. Kate cooked supper yesterday. B: How did she break it? A: She fell when she was skiing. A: Have you ever been to India? B: Yes, I have. A: Really? When did you go?

19 FOR e SINCE Il PRESENT PERFECT + FOR / SINCE SI USA PER INDICARE CHE QUALCOSA E’ INIZIATO NEL PASSATO E STA CONTINUANDO TUTTORA. e.g I’ve worked here for six years. (e ci sto ancora lavorando) He’s lived here since 1980. (e ci vive anche ora).

20 FOR = PER UN PERIODO DI TEMPO
e.g I’ve lived here for six years SINCE = DA UN CERTO MOMENTO, DATA, ANNO ETC e.g I’ve lived here since 1979 IN ITALIANO DI SOLITO SI USA IL PRESENTE + DA NOTA BENE He’s worked here for six months (e ci lavora ancora) VS He worked here for six months (e ora non ci lavora più) NON SI PUO’ DIRE *He lived there since 1979.

21 PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS
PAST PRESENT FUTURE PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS SIMPLE SIMPLE PAST PRESENT

22 SI FORMA CON IL PRESENT PERFECT DEL VERBO TO BE + IL GERUNDIO DEL VERBO PRINCIPALE

23 SFUMATURA DI DISAPPUNTO
USO NON C’E’ UN EQUIVALENTE IN ITALIANO. 1) VIENE UTILIZZATO QUANDO SI VUOLE INSISTERE SULLA DURATA DI UN’AZIONE E.G You’re late! I’ve been waiting for you for two hours. SFUMATURA DI DISAPPUNTO

24 2) PER UN’AZIONE DI UNA CERTA DURATA CHE E’ APPENA TERMINATA (E I CUI EFFETTI SONO ANCORA VISIBILI)
e.g “What a lovely smell!” “I’ve been cooking”

25 3) Si può utilizzare con HOW LONG …(FOR)
3) Si può utilizzare con HOW LONG …(FOR)? How long have you been studying English? NOTA BENE: NON SI USA CON EVER, NEVER, YET, ALREADY
